Ramadhan is usually identical with takjil (sweet dishes for breaking the fast). Hence, Jakarta Satpol PP will monitor public facilities that used by takjil peddler.

We will do monitoring, if the peddler uses public facility for selling takjil, we will warn them

"This is our routine duty every year. We will do monitoring, if the peddler uses public facility for selling takjil, we will warn them," expressed Head of Jakarta Satpol PP, Jupan Royter Tampubolon, Tuesday (5/31).

Lots of Takjil in Traditional Market Contained Harmful Substances

According to him, approaching the fasting month in line with price hike on staple food, the local people will use the moment selling takjil. He stated, selling should not disturb public order and ruin city facilities.

"If the sidewalk is small, we will find another place. If no, it will disturb the passing people, but we have to maintain its cleanliness also. Don't dispose filthy water haphazardly," he disclosed.

His side hoped people could maintain cleanliness when they sell takjil later. If they violate it, we will give firm sanction.

"Selling takjil must be in the afternoon. If they sell at noon, we will reprimand them," he said.
